"YOUR SMILE IS MY SIGNATURE" -Dr. Yulien Cruz-Davis
Dr. Cruz-Davis has proudly called North Florida and Gainesville his home for over 15 years. He began his dental education in 1998 at the University of Havana where he apprenticed in Maxillofacial Surgery. He later studied dentistry at UF where he earned his DMD.
Passionate about creating whole-mouth health for his patients, Dr. Cruz-Davis continues his educational pursuits, including advanced coursework in infection prevention, implantology, and aesthetic smile design.
Getting to Know Dr. Cruz-Davis
When his family won a visa lottery in the early 2000s, Dr. Cruz-Davis and family moved to Miami where he worked in a windows and doors factory, and then as a pool and beachside server at the Ritz Carlton Hotels, while studying English and starting college again from scratch. He moved to Gainesville to finish his undergraduate coursework at UF, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa before restarting his dental education at the University of Flordia College of Dentistry.
Returning to Dentistry
Ten years after he first began dental school at the University of Havana, Dr. Cruz-Davis was finally able to use a handpiece again and get back to doing what he loves - dentistry. He soon graduated UF dental school, earning the Molar Endodontic Award, Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, and the Clinical Excellence and Professionalism Award.
After working as an associate dentist, in 2013 Dr. Cruz-Davis took over his current practice from doctors Buddy Hatcher and Tommy Weber, continuing a Gainesville family dental office established in 1964.
Pursuing a Post-Graduate Dental Implant Fellowship
Since then, Dr. Cruz-Davis completed a Dental Implants Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI), allowing him to access this amazing branch of biomedical engineering and dentistry.
Learning More about our Doctor
In addition to dental clinical skills, Dr. Cruz-Davis has a background in chemistry and microbiology laboratory research. He has co-authored scientific studies published in peer-reviewed journals, e.g. Nucleic Acids Research, Archaea, and the Cuban Journal of Dentistry.

Office Manager
Erin was born in the Washington, D.C., area and was raised in South Florida. She brings over a decade of dentistry customer service, insurance experience, and practice management to the Cruz Davis Dental team.

Outside our dental office, Erin enjoys traveling, dining out or cooking in, and spending quality time with her husband, friends, and family.
Dedra
Administrative Specialist
Dedra is a Georgia native who relocated to Florida almost twenty years ago. She earned her degree in Administrative Medical Assisting in 2020, expanding her technical skills to complement her outgoing personality.
“I enjoy creating a positive, friendly, and welcoming environment for all our patients, making them feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.“
Dedra loves spending time with her husband and their 4 children. She also is a foody and enjoys spending time by the water.
Windy
Dental Hygienist
Windy was born and raised in the Gainesville area. She graduated from Santa Fe College in 2001 with her Associates in Science degree in Dental Hygiene, and has been an active part of the dental field for 20 years.
“I love interacting with my patients and getting to know them. I'm also passionate about sharing oral health education.“
Windy has been married for 25 years and has two children and two grandchildren. Outside of the office, Windy enjoys spending time on the water, traveling with family, doing photography, and taking care of her grandbabies.
Betsy
Dental Hygienist
Betsy graduated Tallahassee Community College in 1998 as a Certified Dental Assistant, and in December 2001 graduated from Santa Fe College's Dental Hygiene Bridge program here in Gainesville. Betsy and her husband Jason have been married for over 20 years and have two beloved teenagers who keep their parents busy.

Betsy takes pride in treating patients with respect and compassion, listening to their needs and encouraging them with dental education. Outside of dentistry, Betsy enjoys cooking, snorkeling, crafting, and spending time outdoors with her family.
Jose Angel
Dental Assistant
Angel graduated as a dentist in 2013 in Cuba, and is now on a journey to rediscover dentistry from a unique and exciting perspective as a dental assistant.
